Jeff Santone holds a Masters degree in Economics from George Washington University and was a Senior Financial Analyst at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors for six years. He then joined his wife, Dr. Virginia Lee, as the business manager of Capital Oral & Facial Surgery Center. In 2007, Mr. Santone enrolled in and completed the MGE Executive Training Program. Applying his expertise in the areas of management, personnel, finance and marketing, he has been instrumental in transforming Capital Oral & Facial Surgery Center into one of the top specialist practices in the DC Metro area. A model of efficiency, the office has seen a collections increase of 400%—$50,000 per month to well in excess of $200,000 per month, with only one doctor.
Being the son a dentist and a having professional background in management, Neil possesses a unique insight into dental practice growth and management. After completing his management education, Neil joined MGE, one of the largest dental practice management training firms in the world, to work with his dad, Dr. Greg Winteregg. Since then, Neil has consulted or lectured to thousands of dentists and their teams on the subjects of case acceptance, PR and management. Dr. Aleksandr Dayanayev, along with his partner Dr. Albert Malakov, opened the doors to their practice in 2000. Over the following decade, they went through virtually every stress, problem, or difficulty a dentist in practice could possibly experience. In 2010, Drs. Dayanayev and Malakov enrolled in the MGE Power Program to master the business side of dentistry. Bruce Smoler, D.D.S., FAGD, FICOI
A 1987 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School with more than 6,000 credit hours of Continuing Education. Dr. Smoler works diligently to stay abreast of the latest techniques and trends in dentistry. In that same vein, Dr.Smoler became a client of MGE in 2010. Using the practice management information from the MGE Program, Dr.Smoler expanded his $1 million practice into a tremendously efficient fee-for-service office on track to collect over $3 million this year. Dr. Smoler formed the Smoler Smiles Hands on Mentorship program where he helps mentor fellow dentists in all aspects of Implant Dentistry and has lectured locally, regionally, and nationally on both Dental Implants and Management related topics.
Nathan Owens, D.M.D., MBA, FAGD
Raised on a dairy farm in Alabama, Dr. Owens truly was a small-town boy with big-time dreams, leading him to acquire a practice shortly after graduating dental school. Very quickly he discovered the stress that comes along with managing dental practices and realized he needed to learn more. He turned his focus to gaining all the management knowledge he could, while providing the highest possible quality of service for his patients. While operating this practice, he completed his MBA and enrolled in hours and hours of clinical CE to continue his education in esthetic dentistry, implants, orthodontics and more. Things really clicked into place when he came to MGE in 2015 to complete the entire management CE program. Now his office is efficient, organized and stress-free – and in just two years his small-town practice has nearly doubled from $1.3 million to $2.3 million and is expanding smoothly to multiple locations. And most importantly, he’s helping more patients with higher quality dentistry than ever before! He now lectures nationally and loves sharing his hard-won knowledge with his colleagues.
Dr. Eddy Rodriguez brings a fresh new perspective to the subject of practice management and building a highly efficient dental office. He built his current office into a million-dollar practice in under two years and has continued to grow steadily while only working 16 days a month, going on adventures with his wife and family and speaking nationally. Dr. Hendrick Gonzalez came from Cuba to the US in the year 2000, with the dream of opening his own dental practice. Within three years he’d obtained his license and then purchased a three op, two assistant practice collecting about $200,000 a year in Santa Maria, CA. In 2007, he started looking to learn more about practice management and business skills, so he enrolled in the MGE Power Program. Since graduating the program, he grew his practice to 15 ops, more than 40 employees and $6.5 million a year. In 2018 he sold his practice and now spends his time with his family and teaching and helping others.
